The Screwtape Letters
The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis
The Screwtape Letters is a Christian Classic, written nearly 70 years ago during the early years of World War II. It imagines a series of letters from a Senior Demon, Screwtape, to his nephew Wormwood, giving him advice on how to undermine the faith of a new Christian. Although some references to the war inevitably date the book, its continued popularity serves to underline the timeless nature of Lewis' astute understanding of human character and the process of temptation.
The Screwtape Letters is currently being reprinted but see below for a special limited offer at re:fresh books & christian resources.
