We are one year Old!
Re:fresh books & christian resources celebrated its first birthday on Saturday, October 22nd.
Re:fresh books opened on Saturday 23rd October, 2004. We feel really blessed and give thanks to God – and to our customers - that we made our first year’s sales target a few days before the anniversary. We seem to have bucked the trend in a year that the press has reported as showing the worst retail sales trends in 15 - 20 years.
Whilst we need to make ends meet financially, re:fresh is about mission. We have had many good conversations with people and ask you to pray that lives will be changed through what they read and experience here at the shop. One church has even nominated us for the Christian bookseller of the year award for “impact to ministry” through our recent initiative in co-ordinating details of evangelistic courses running this autumn and advertising them on our website and in the Surrey Comet and Kingston Guardian. They have had many enquiries apparently. It would be good to get feedback from some of you as to the impact of the advertising so that we can assess the effectiveness of different approaches.
Come and enjoy the new things at re:fresh:- the Fairtrade tea, coffee, chocolate, juices and Geobars now on sale; the calendars, diaries, Christmas cards, advent calendars, gifts, and nativity sets – on sale NOW at the request of our customers; the T shirts, WWJD watches, posters. On top of all this is the fantastic October Bible promotion with some popular Bibles and study Bibles being reduced by £8 or £9 pounds. Why not think about some early Christmas presents – or refresh your stocks of youth Bibles or Bibles for evangelistic courses. The Living Water Bible in the new living translation is on offer at just £5.99, reduced from £14.99. Stocks at the warehouse on this one are low, so don’t miss out.
