Read the Bible in a year - the ideal gift re:fresh has a variety of Bibles designed for daily reading in such a way that the complete Old and New Testament are covered in a year.  Each day's reading takes about 15 minutes. It's never too late to start reading the Bible.   However, if you are looking to use one of these plans, you may find CWR's 'Cover to Cover Complete'  appropriate because days are numbered '1-366' rather than dated. NIV Bible in One Year has an Old Testament Reading, a New Testament reading and a reading from the Psalms or Proverbs for each day.  The Old Testament books are placed in broadly chronological order and the New Testament books are in the same order as they occur in the Bible.  So, for example, January 1st covers Genesis 1:1-2:17, Matthew 1:1-25 and Psalm 1:1-6.  A time chart and other useful notes and maps are included at the end of the Bible. This is attractively presented in a green soft-tone finish with gilt page edges and a marker ribbon. The  One Year Bible is The New Living Translation (NLT) in 365 daily readings.  This has an Old Testament reading, a New Testament reading, a reading from the Psalms and a reading from Proverbs for each day.  It follows the readings through in sequence starting with Genesis 1, Matthew 1, Psalm 1 and Proverbs 1.  For each day there is also a verse or passage in bold text for memorization.
